Shijō Saikyō no Deshi Kenichi

Shijō Saikyō no Deshi Kenichi

Shijō Saikyō no Deshi Kenichi (roughly translated “History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi”) is a manga by Syun Matsuena. The story is focused on Kenichi Shirahama, an average 15-year-old weakling, whose life turns to Hell with the appearance of the naive, beautiful, and strong transfer student, Miu Fūrinji. After Kenichi witnesses Miu’s skills in martial arts, he joins the Ryōzanpaku dojo, the gathering place of those who are truly strong, which also happens to be Miu’s home. After beating a karate student in a match, he is soon targeted by all the delinquents in the school. Since then, Kenichi’s routine is divided between his hellish training with the masters of Ryōzanpaku, and his fights against the members of Ragnarok, a gang who views him as either a possible ally or an impending threat to their plans.

Honestly, the anime of this series was recommended by one of my acquaintances. By reading at Wikipedia, it seems nothing special for me (at first) but things start to get interesting when the number of episodes increase. So, I can officially admit that I’m a Kenichi’s fan now. Although the joke is not hurting much like Gintama, but it’s still hurt nonetheless. Besides, I watch this anime because of its fighting scene (during training or battle) and IMHO, that’s where this anime excel at. Wow…can’t wait for the next episode…

Copa America 2007

Argentina’s Fan

Copa America had started yesterday. It will run from June 26 until July 15 at Venezuela. Although the tournament is not as big as World Cup or EURO, but for me, it’s still interesting to follow because one of my favourite teams play in it. Yes, the picture above prove it all and it’s obvious that I support Argentina. They will be in group C along with United States, Colombia, and Paraguay. First match is against United States (June 28), then Colombia (July 2), and ends the group stage phase with match against Paraguay (July 5). Personally, I’m confident they can go through to the knockout stage because all their main player like Lionel Messi, Riquelme, Crespo, & Tevez is available. My only concern is their arch enemy, Brazil. Although they enter the tournament without the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka, and Ronaldo…I still personally think they’re a threat though.

Goodbye Thierry Henry

Goodbye Thierry Henry

As one of Arsenal fans, it’s pretty obvious that I feel really really sad with the news that Thierry Henry will go to FC Barcelona next season. It was reported the sum of the transfer is around £16 million. Well, it’s not like I hold any grudges against either Henry or Barcelona on the transfer decision, it’s just…a charismatic and talisman player like him leaving the club…suffice to say it “scar” something, but not in a hating way…more to the feel of deeply losing something very precious. Nevertheless, I wish all the best to Thierry Henry and I really hope no other influential player will leave the club in nearest time. First losing Veira and now Henry….~sigh~~

Safari 3 for Windows

Odd Safari Fixed Safari

I read a lot of reviews about Safari’s Window version and most of them is not positive enough. Well it’s expected because the browser is in its beta phase (or alpha maybe). I also encounter some odd problem with it even before exploring the full functions of it (even after patching to 3.01). From the above pictures, on the left is Safari’s fresh installation and on the right after I meddling with some settings (in geeky way to note it). What I do is changing one key property from font.plist files located on “c:\documents and settings\<User Name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer\Safari”. I change the font from arial key and the value is from linkin.ttf to arial.ttf. Well, to make it clearer, the browser didn’t detect my arial font by default and replacing it with one of many fonts that I already have on my system which happen to be linkin.ttf. I don’t know how this happen but what the hell…it’s beta anyway. But that doesn’t stop me from saying that Apple must work harder or else…Windows users will never turn their attention to Safari again. Just my two cents….
